CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is a national level law entrance exam which is conducted for offering admission into undergraduate law programs. CLAT 2019 will be conducted by National Law University, Odisha. NLU will conduct the CLAT for 21 NLUs around the country filling around 2600 seats.



Candidate must have passed 10+2 board examination through a recognized board with minimum 45% marks. The minimum percentage for SC/ST candidates is 40%.

No. of Questions: 200

Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions

Each right answer will carry 1 mark and 0.25 marks will be cut for every wrong answer.

How to Apply

Candidates need to fill an online application form. The application form is available on the website from 13th January 2019. Click here to register for CLAT 2019.


Documents to attach with the online form

Following documents are required to be uploaded with the online application form.

  • 10+2 exam mark sheet.
  • Birth certificate or Passport.
  • High school mark sheets.
  • Signatures (in prescribed size).
  • Recent colored passport size photo.
  • Category Certificate for the reserved category candidates.
  • Domicile certificate under state quota (if applicable).



Application Fee

For General Category and OBC candidates, the fee is Rs 4000.

SC, ST category candidates will have to pay Rs 3500.
